Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) DpnI

Explanation

DpnI recognizes methylated GATC sites and can remove the methylated parental plasmid after amplification of an unmethylated mutant product. Thus B. This selective template digestion is why DpnI appears in the mutagenesis workflow rather than an ordinary sequence-cutting enzyme without this methylation requirement.
