Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) 7.5 hours

Explanation

The hour hand completes 360° in 12 hours, so its speed is 30° per hour. The elapsed time is 225/30=7.5 hours. Choose D; using the minute-hand speed would measure a different interval.
