Six people are seated around a circular table. There are at least two men and two women. There are at least three right-handed persons. Every woman has a left-handed person to her immediate right. None of the women are right-handed. The number of women at the table is

Correct answer: (A) 2

Explanation

No woman is right-handed, so all the right-handed people (at least three) are men. That leaves at most 3 women. With 3 women and 3 right-handed men, each woman's right neighbour must be left-handed, so it must be another woman. That forces the three women to sit together, but then the last of them has a right-handed man on her right. So there cannot be 3 women, and with at least 2 the number is exactly 2.
