Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) Cant deficiency is related to train moving faster, and Cant excess is related to train moving slower.

Explanation

The equilibrium cant is the cant at which the load is shared equally by both rails at a given speed. A train running faster than the equilibrium speed needs more cant than is provided, which is cant deficiency. A train running slower than the equilibrium speed has more cant than it needs, which is cant excess.
