Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (C) low alloy steel

Explanation

GMAW uses a consumable wire electrode that melts and becomes part of the weld, so it should match the base metal. For low alloy steel the electrode wire is a low alloy steel. Tungsten is used for the non-consumable electrode in GTAW, and copper and cadmium are not suitable for steel.
