Six persons P, Q, R, S, T and U are sitting around a circular table facing the center not necessarily in the same order. Consider the following statements:
• P sits next to S and T.
• Q sits diametrically opposite to P.
• The shortest distance between S and R is equal to the shortest distance between T and U.

Correct answer: (C) R and U
Explanation
Number the seats 0 to 5 around the table. Put P at 0, so S and T are at 1 and 5, and Q is at 3. The seats 2 and 4 are left for R and U. If S is at 1 and R at 2, then T at 5 needs U at 4 for the equal distances (1 and 1). In the other arrangement R is at 4 and U at 2, and the distances are 3 and 3. Either way, the neighbours of Q (seats 2 and 4) are R and U.
