Explanation
Identify the work from how the two waterways cross, as described in the figure: the natural drain is carried in a trough **above the canal**, and the canal flows freely below it (the canal full supply level is below the trough bottom).
- **Aqueduct:** the *canal* is carried over the drain.
- **Siphon aqueduct:** the canal is also carried over the drain, but the drain bed is below the canal's full supply level, so the water in the canal flows under pressure through barrels.
