1. Some football players play cricket. 2. All cricket players play hockey. Which statement logically follows?

  1. No football player plays hockey.
  2. Some football players play hockey.
  3. All football players play hockey.
  4. All hockey players play football.

Correct answer: (B) Some football players play hockey.

Explanation

Let F = football players, C = cricket players and H = hockey players.

**Statements.**
1. Some F are C.
2. All C are H.

**Deduction.** The football players who play cricket (statement 1) are cricket players, and every cricket player plays hockey (statement 2). So those same players are also hockey players. Therefore **some football players play hockey**.

Answer **B**.
