Correct answer: 1 to 1

Explanation

In electrical discharge machining the energy released by one spark is the energy stored in the capacitor of the RC circuit, $E=\tfrac12CV^2$.

With $C=50\ \mu\text{F}=50\times10^{-6}$ F and $V=200$ V:

$E=\tfrac12(50\times10^{-6})(200)^2=\tfrac12(50\times10^{-6})(4\times10^{4})=\tfrac12(2)=1$ J.

**$E=1$ J**
