Find the degree of static indeterminacy of the plane frame shown.

Explanation

Count the unreleased frame with m = 21 member segments, j = 18 joints and r = 7 support reactions. Its static indeterminacy is $3m+r-3j=63+7-54=16$. The internal hinge releases one moment constraint, leaving **15**.
