Explanation

Before axial constraints, four free joints supply eight translations and four rotations; the two pinned bases add two rotations, for 14 coordinates. Inextensible columns remove four vertical translations. Each of the two inextensible beams ties a pair of horizontal translations, removing two more coordinates. Eight remain (six rotations and two sways), so the requested reduction is 14 − 8 = 6 (B).
