In the circuit shown in the Figure, $A$ and $B$ are logic inputs and $Y$ is the logic output. Which of the following logic operations is realized by the circuit?

Correct answer: (A) NOR
Explanation
A series pull-up (PMOS) network with a parallel pull-down (NMOS) network conducts to $V_{DD}$ only when A=B=0. So $Y=\overline{A+B}$, a NOR gate.
