A J-type thermocouple gives $V_\theta=(13650+50\theta_x)$ μV, with $\theta_x$ in °C. It has reference-junction compensation as shown, amplifier gain $G=20$, reference temperature 1 °C, and input temperature 100 °C. The amplifier output is ______ mV.

Explanation
The two junction voltages subtract: (13650+50·100)−(13650+50·1)=4950 μV. The constant offset cancels. Amplification by 20 gives 99000 μV=**99 mV, B**.
