A fruit basket was sold at 12.5% loss. Selling it for ₹108 more would give 10% gain. What loss was incurred?

Correct answer: (C) ₹60

Explanation

Let cost be C. The selling-price difference is $(1.10-0.875)C=108$, hence C = 480 rupees. Loss is $0.125(480)=60$ rupees (C).
