Manufacturing loss is proportional to the square of deviation from a target. Loss is ₹4900 for deviation 7 units. What is the loss for deviation 4 units?

Correct answer: (C) ₹1600

Explanation

Let loss be $k\delta^2$. Then $k=4900/7^2=100$. At deviation 4, loss is $100(4^2)=1600$ rupees (C).
