Design life is 15 years, lane distribution factor 0.75, annual commercial-traffic growth 6%, vehicle damage factor 4 and initial traffic at construction completion 3000 commercial vehicles/day. According to IRC:37-2012 referred to in the paper, cumulative design traffic, to two decimals, is ______ million standard axles.

Correct answer: 75.00 to 78.00
Explanation
Apply $$N=\frac{365A[(1+r)^n-1]DF}{r}.$$ With A = 3000, r = 0.06, n = 15, D = 0.75 and F = 4, this gives 76.461561 million standard axles, or 76.46. No extra construction-period growth is needed because A is already given at completion.
