Suppose $X$ and $Y$ are independent and identically distributed random variables that are distributed uniformly in the interval $[0,1]$. The probability that $X\ge Y$ is ______.

Correct answer: 0.49 to 0.51
Explanation
By symmetry $P(X>Y)=P(Y>X)$, and $P(X=Y)=0$ for continuous variables. So $P(X\ge Y)=\tfrac12$.
