Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (B) 0.70
Explanation
Use surface-area sphericity:area of an equal-volume sphere divided by actual particle surface area. The cylinder has $V=\pi d^2L/4=1.25\pi$ cm³ and $A=\pi dL+\pi d^2/2=5.5\pi$ cm². The sphere diameter is $d_e=(6V/\pi)^{1/3}=7.5^{1/3}$ cm. Therefore $\phi=\pi d_e^2/A=7.5^{2/3}/5.5=.69664$,closest to **.70,B**. This is the surface-area definition, not the alternative equal-volume-diameter/largest-dimension shape index.
