An industry emits CO₂5 kg/day, CH₄.5 kg/day, and N₂O.1 kg/day, but flares all methane before release. GWP factors are CO₂1,CH₄21,N₂O310. Find annual emissions in integer kg CO₂-equivalent.

Correct answer: 13600 to 13700
Explanation
Complete flaring converts CH₄ to CO₂: $.5(44/16)=1.375$ kg CO₂/day. Therefore daily CO₂-equivalent is $5+1.375+.1(310)=37.375$ kg/day. Use365 days: $37.375(365)=13641.875$,rounded **13642 kg CO₂-equivalent/year**. The methane factor21 is not applied to methane already oxidized by flaring.
