Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) 1/4

Explanation

The even faces on each die are 2, 4 and 6, so the probability of an even result is $3/6=1/2$. The two rolls are independent. Therefore the probability that both results are even is $(1/2)(1/2)=1/4$, option D.
