Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) 3

Explanation

By inclusion–exclusion the number playing at least one sport is 15+17−10=22. Subtracting from the room total gives 25−22=3 who play neither. Thus D; subtracting both sport counts without correcting the overlap would double-count ten people.
