Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (C) 5
Explanation
Take O=(0,0), east as positive x and north as positive y. Then P=(3,−4). Because Q is eight units directly north of P, Q=(3,4). Hence OQ=√(3²+4²)=5 units, C. The intermediate northeast/northwest route does not change these endpoint coordinates.
