Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (C) 3600
Explanation
Let m and w be the weekly work rates of one man and one woman. Equal total work gives $2(1200m+500w)=3(900m+250w)$.
Rearranging gives $250w=300m$, so $w=1.2m$. The bridge therefore requires $2400m+1000(1.2m)=3600m$ units of work.
One man supplies m units per week, so the one-week workforce is **3600 men, C**.
