Which are energy-transducing membranes?

[P] Plasma membrane of bacteria.

Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (B) P and R only

Explanation

Bacterial respiratory electron transport and ATP synthesis occur at the plasma membrane, so P is true. Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation occurs at the inner membrane, making R true. In chloroplasts, photosynthetic energy transduction occurs in thylakoid membranes, rather than the inner envelope membrane named in Q. Therefore P and R only, B.
