Show answer and explanation Correct answer: 5.6 to 5.8
Explanation The limiting self-feeding condition is $\tan\alpha\le\mu$. Thus $\alpha_{max}=\tan^{-1}(0.1)=5.7106^\circ$, or 5.7°. Beyond this angle the frictional drawing-in component cannot overcome the outward normal-force component.
