Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (D) 96
Explanation
The cube has side 4, so its surface area is $6 \times 4^2 = 96$. Removing a unit cube from a corner takes away 3 unit squares of surface but exposes 3 new unit squares, so the surface area does not change. It stays 96.
