Soil has liquid limit 60%, plastic limit 27%, natural water content 32% and flow index 27. Find toughness index and liquidity index respectively.

Correct answer: (C) 1.22 and 0.15

Explanation

Plasticity index IP=60−27=33. Toughness index is IP/IF=33/27=1.2222. Liquidity index is (w−wP)/IP=(32−27)/33=0.1515. Therefore the pair is **1.22 and 0.15 (C)**.
