Two identical shaping machines S₁ and S₂ operate with the same conditions except that S₂ workpiece width is 10% greater and feed 10% smaller. Find total time per pass in S₁ divided by that in S₂, to one decimal.

Correct answer: .7 to .9
Explanation
For unchanged strokes per minute and other conditions, time per pass is proportional to width/feed. Therefore T2/T1=1.1/0.9 and T1/T2=0.9/1.1=0.81818, rounded **0.8**. The question asks the inverse of S2’s time increase.
