The shown open-loop NC drive has a 1.8° stepper, gear reduction 4:1 (four motor turns per lead-screw turn), and single-start 4 mm pitch screw. For table speed 10 mm/s, find pulse frequency in Hz to one decimal.

Correct answer: 1999.0 to 2001.0
Explanation
Screw speed = 10/4 = 2.5 rev/s. Motor speed = 4×2.5 = 10 rev/s. Each revolution needs 360/1.8 = 200 pulses. Frequency = 10×200 = **2000.0 Hz**.
