Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: (A) Voltmeter; (C) Synchroscope
Explanation
To synchronise an alternator the voltage magnitudes must match (checked with a voltmeter) and the phase sequence, frequency and phase angle must match (indicated by a synchroscope, or synchronising lamps). A wattmeter measures power and a stroboscope measures rotational speed; neither is needed.
