Correct answer: (A) 0
Explanation
Let $v$ be the voltage at the top of the 1 Ω resistor. The 10 A source forces 10 A into that node through the 2 Ω resistor. KCL: $10=v+\dfrac{v-10}{\alpha}$, so $v(1+\dfrac1\alpha)=10(1+\dfrac1\alpha)$ and $v=10$ V for any $\alpha$. Then the current through $\alpha$ is $(10-v)/\alpha=0$, so the 10 V source delivers no power.
