Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (D) IgM

Explanation

Developing B cells first rearrange and express the μ heavy chain. An immature B cell consequently displays IgM as its initial complete antigen receptor. IgD is coexpressed later during maturation, while IgG, IgA and IgE require class-switch processes in activated mature cells. Select IgM, D.
