A two-lane two-way road has design speed 60 km/h, longitudinal friction coefficient 0.36 and driver reaction time 2.5 s. With g = 9.8 m/s², find intermediate sight distance (m), nearest integer.

Explanation
At $v=60/3.6=16.6667$ m/s, stopping sight distance is $vt+v^2/(2gf)=41.6667+39.3676=81.0343$ m. Intermediate sight distance is twice this, 162.0686 m. Rounded, **162 m**.
