A project has activities with immediate predecessors and durations (weeks): P: none, 5; Q: none, 1; R: Q, 2; S: P and R, 4; T: P, 6; U: S and T, 3. All activities other than S take these durations. Find the maximum S duration (weeks) without delaying completion.

Explanation
P finishes at week 5 and R at week 3, so S starts at week 5. T finishes at $5+6=11$; U finishes at week 14. S must finish by week 11, allowing duration $11-5=\mathbf{6}$ weeks.
