Explanation

Scaling the original 16 V left source to 8 V produces 1 A in the left branch. By reciprocity, the original right response 1/3 A becomes the left response to a right-side 16 V source. The shown 48 V right source drives that branch in the opposing direction with magnitude 3×1/3=1 A. Sum **I3=0.0 A**.
