Two fair dice (with faces labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6) are rolled. Let the random variable $X$ denote the sum of the outcomes obtained.
The expectation of $X$ is ______ (rounded off to two decimal places).

Explanation
Each die has mean $(1+2+\dots+6)/6=3.5$, so by linearity $E[X]=3.5+3.5=7.00$.
