Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) i and iii correct

Explanation

Heterotrophs assimilate organic carbon and, in the stated chemoheterotrophic context, oxidize organics for energy. Chemolithoautotrophs assimilate inorganic carbon and obtain energy from reduced inorganic donors. Therefore i and iii are correct, ii and iv false in this classification. Select **A**.
