Beam P–Q–R has $EI=10^4$ kN m² and an applied 180 kN m moment at Q, as shown. Rotation at Q, to two decimals, is ______ rad.

Correct answer: 0.01 to 0.01 OR -0.01 to -0.01
Explanation
Each span with its far end fixed supplies rotational stiffness $4EI/L$. Combined stiffness at Q is $4(10000)(1/5+1/4)=18000$ kN m/rad. Hence $|\theta_Q|=180/18000=0.01$ rad. The official key accepts either sign convention.
