Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: (A) P

Explanation

The hidden rectangle must contain the lower right part of the oval, the left corner of the upper triangle and the top of the lower triangle. Option P continues the oval's curve from the top left, gives the upper triangle a wedge that leaves the box at the right height, and puts the lower triangle's apex where its two visible edges meet. In option Q the lower triangle leans the wrong way, option R has a triangle piece of the wrong shape and option S shows a large half-oval that does not match the visible curve.
