Correct answer: 17.3 to 17.4

Explanation

Only the1Ωresistor and load resistance dissipate power. The former carries2Aand dissipates4W,leaving996W in the load. The10Aload current gives R=996/100=9.96Ω. Its200Vterminal magnitude gives |Z|=20Ω. Therefore XL=√(20²−9.96²)=**17.34354Ω**. Parallel capacitor currents must not be treated as in-phase arithmetic values.
